We're nearing the holidays, which means it's the season of all things peppermint! This is the time when peppermint flavoured everything is available everywhere. So we've created a recipe to bring you the holiday feelings that peppermint gives, and it's so easy to make that you won't even have an excuse not to make it.
This is a healthier spin on a Chocolate Peppermint Latte, this is a filling version with lots of the good stuff to fill your stomach! You can make it for breakfast, a nice evening drink or to replace your daily coffee.
Just a warning though, this shouldn't be attempted on regular blenders as it can overheat regular blenders. The Vitamix has a built-in cooling system when put on the HIGH setting which prevents the blender from overheating and allows you to make hot drinks without heating it.
Chocolate Peppermint Oat Latte
What You'll need:
Ingredients:
- 1/4 Cup Rolled Oats
- 1 Cup Soy Milk
- 1/4-1/2 Cup Water (Depending on how thick or thin you want your latte)
- 2 Tbs Cocoa Powder
- 2-3 Tbs Coconut Sugar
- 1 tsp Flaxseeds
- 1/4 tsp Vanilla Extract
- A few drops of Peppermint Oil
Instructions:
- Place all the ingredients into your Vitamix blender and cover.
- Turn the blender on, go from variable 1-10, then on HIGH until hot and steamy!
- Serve and Enjoy!
